McLaren "barking mad" to let Alonso race at Indy - Horner

McLaren announced earlier in the week that two-time world champion Alonso would compete at Indianapolis with a auto run by Andretti Autosport, last year's winners.
But Horner has questioned McLaren's decision with Alonso having no previous experience of IndyCar, saying: "It's a hard one for Fernando, he's having a tough time".
Button, who had regarded the concluding race of the 2016 campaign in Abu Dhabi as the last of his 17-season career, will be one of McLaren's two drivers at Monaco, with Belgium's Stoffel Vandoorne in their other auto.
"He must be barking mad, it's the nuttiest race I've ever seen!" He is just going to jump in the vehicle.
"The Indy 500 is a great race, but it's not necessarily a race that interests me", the Haas F1 driver Grosjean told France's RMC in Bahrain. Turn 1 is a proper turn, it's easy flat the whole way round.
"It's a tricky street circuit on which a good driver can really make a difference and, although the McLaren-Honda hasn't begun the season well, I think it may be more suited to Monaco than to the faster circuits that Fernando and Stoffel have raced it on so far this season". No", Horner said. "I think if a driver commits to a team it's like disappearing with another girlfriend half way through the year, doesn't seem like the right thing to do.
Williams was also sat alongside Brown but was more reserved in saying her team would not have allowed one of its drivers to compete.
"I rang him and his first reaction was, 'Great, I'm so excited", said the Frenchman of their short conversation after initial text exchanges.
"I don't know whether that is because I am my father's daughter and I know Frank probably wouldn't", she said. "But I won't explain the reasons why". "He's going to get some testing in".
"Fernando's not scared. It's obviously going to be a challenge but he wants a challenge", said Brown. It's obviously going to be a challenge but he wants a challenge and a rookie driver won it a year ago, not that we're setting any expectations. He'll be extremely prepared and I think he's going to put on a good show. He's very smart and that's what you need to be around Indianapolis. "I think if I could have persuaded McLaren not to go I would have done it".
Brown then took to Twitter to hit back at Horner's psychiatrist line, reminding the Red Bull chief of the time he jumped into the team's Monaco swimming pool wearing only a Superman cape after David Coulthard scored a podium finish in 2006.
Samsung's Bixby voice assistant is being delayed
This news would certainly disappoint the buyers who have been waiting to try out the Bixby assistant on the Galaxy S8 . The company had already explained that Samsung Bixby Voice will not be available worldwide at the time of launch.
