Under California law, the equity in the property bond has to be worth double that amount, so it consisted of $62 million in real estate, comprised of 18 to 20 properties, Wagstaffe said.
Li has been in prison for almost a year after her ex-boyfriend, Keith Green was found dead and naked on a dirt road on May 11 2016 in Sonoma County with a single gunshot wound to the neck.
"When the judge set the amount at $35 million, I didn't think my client could make that", said Carr, who said the number of friends and business partners of Li and her mother who stepped up to help her make bail surprised and reassured him. Instead, he says she'll be in a "modest condo" at an undisclosed location.
The 31-year-old is charged with murder - and accused of conspiring with her boyfriend - Kaveh Bayat and friend - Oliver Adella to kill her ex-boyfriend Keith Green last year.
Mr Green's body was found on May 11 in Sonoma County, about 80 miles north of where he was supposed to meet Li. All three were arrested last May, with the two men expected to remain in jail as they can not afford the multi-million dollar bail set for them.
If convicted, Li faces life in prison. Prosecutors say she feared losing custody of her children.
Tiffany Li is seen in an undated photo released by the San Mateo County Sheriff's Department.
Oh, and here's a nice fun fact: The $35 million bail is the highest ever in San Mateo County's history, according to county official said. "We know it's in the nine-figure category at least".
Li left the jail yesterday afternoon in a Cadillac Escalade.
Tiffany Li rushed out of the jail Thursday at about 1:45 p.m. with a bodyguard, wearing a baseball hat and a hood pulled tight around her head. Li is the only defendant to file a motion for bail, which prosecutors opposed, according to Wagstaffe.
Both Li and her mother were born in China but are naturalized American citizens.
She was ordered to live under house arrest and wear an electronic monitoring bracelet.
The murder trial is set for September.
If Li does flee, the court can confiscate the property and cash.
Under the terms of her release, Li will be required to stay at her home. He noted that Li had received threats, none of which he believed were actionable, as court proceedings for her case have unfolded.
