With a little help from the Singh Brothers, Jinder Mahal emerged as the victor against AJ Styles. With the referee distracted by Mahal and the Sing Brothers, Owens moved quickly from commentary to ringside and hit Styles in the knee with his title. Styles said that they don't have to wait until Sunday, which led to Jinder Mahal walking out and said that he was supposed to appear on the show.
Mahal is truly awful on the microphone. The Maharaja asked Styles what the latter was doing as the former was supposed to be the guest on Owens' Highlight Reels. It was rough all around, in large part because no one had anything to talk about with Backlash so close. Styles vowed to beat Owens at Backlash and take the US Title.

A vignette hyping Lana's SmackDown debut was shown. Corbin went for a chokeslam but Orton fought out of it. Corbin missed a spear and ate the ring post. Charlotte Flair, Naomi, Becky Lynch as well as Tamina, Carmella, and Natalya were introduced. Carmella acts like she is going to walk off into the crowd, but suckers Naomi in for a super kick.

He's been great promoting this match basically on his own and can truly be a standout player on the show if given the opportunity.
Matches in which titles change hands have become rare unless the event is a pay per view.
Mahal's enjoying the form of his career but will hope to come out of this match unscathed before his showdown against Randy Orton for the WWE Championship. WWEBacklash 2017 is set for Sunday night in Rosemont, Illinois at the Allstate Arena with a few new faces set to compete in some of the card's biggest matches.
The article mentions that the show is also unsure about Paige's status, who was suspended the day before Marie last August, and has been a continued source of controversy ever since.
After a quick commercial break, Corbin is beating Orton down in the corner and then chokes him on the ropes.
NASCAR adds extra stage to Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte
The one negative with putting too much emphasis on Atlanta is that it was the first race of the season on a 1.5-mile track. In 2013, before expanding the "playoffs" to 16 drivers, NASCAR extended its Chase field from 12 to 13 drivers.
